Tata Punch CNG Vs Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG: In addition to the revised CNG versions of the Tigor and Tiago, Tata Motors also announced the launch of the Punch iCNG. The Hyundai Exter and Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG variants and the Punch CNG are competitors. It is time to contrast Punch CNG with Fronx CNG.

Tata Punch CNG Vs Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG: Specifications

A 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine with 72.5 horsepower and 103 Nm of maximum torque powers the Tata Punch CNG. The Fronx CNG, on the other hand, is propelled by a 1.2-liter four-pot engine that produces 76.5 horsepower and 98.5 Nm of peak torque when running on CNG. A 5-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard equipment for both powertrains. Punch CNG offers a 26.99 km/kg efficiency rating, whereas Fronx CNG claims a slightly higher 28.51 km/kg rating.

A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automated climate control, an onboard voice assistant, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, an electronic stability programme, and many more technologies are included in the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG. Both Punch CNG and Fronx CNG are equipped with safety features like twin airbags, ABS with EBD, and Corner Stability Control. In addition, Punch CNG gives 210 litres of more boot room than Fronx CNG, which only offers a tiny amount.

Price and availability

Three Punch CNG variations are available from Tata Motors: Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished. Punch has a starting price of Rs. 7.10 lakh and a maximum price of Rs. 9.68 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Sigma and Delta, two CNG versions of the Fronx that Maruti is selling, are each priced between Rs. 8.41 lakh and Rs. 9.28 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively.
