TVS Apache 310: Naked variant of this bike to mirror BMW G 310 R, launch date and features here

TVS Apache 310: TVS manufactures the 310cc platform with a trellis frame in India. This platform yielded three motorcycles for BMW. The G 310 R is a street bike, the G 310 GS is an adventure bike, and the G 310 RR is a sports machine.

TVS, on the other hand, only sold one motorcycle based on this platform. The Apache RR 310 was a full-faired sports machine. In fact, the BMW G 310 RR is, pound for pound, the same bike as the Apache RR 310, with the exception of the white colour, which costs Rs. 27,000 more. According to sources, TVS will soon release a street motorcycle based on the BMW G 310 R.

The main question is whether TVS will follow BMW's lead and sell the same bike as the G 310 R. Or if enough changes will occur. As of now, answering this question is difficult. However, according to our sources, the TV commercial shoot has already begun at the MMRT race track in Chennai. Given that TVS already manufactures this product, there will be few changes to the G 310 R. The majority of them will be in charge of design. The price of this motorcycle is likely to be lower than that of the Apache RR 310, which starts at Rs. 2.67 lakh (ex-sh).

Features and Specifications

Given its expected price range of Rs. 2.5 to 2.55 lakh, one would think TVS would scrimp on features. As an example, the Apache RR 310 and BMW G 310 RR have identical componentry and fairing. In terms of features, the Apache is more feature-rich, with smartphone connectivity via TVS's proprietary Smart Xonnect technology.

This new TVS motorcycle will also be equipped with Smart Xonnect connected features, which will be accessible via a dedicated app. Something lacking in the BMW G 310 R. The engine, chassis, components, and tyres are almost certainly the same as on the BMW G 310 R. The same 312.2cc single-cylinder 4V engine with 33.5 bhp and 27.3 Nm torque will be retained, as will the 6-speed gearbox.
