The estimated cost of this six-lane expressway is around ₹35,000 crore. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has assigned the construction responsibility to its Roorkee unit.

The New Delhi headquarters of NHAI has given instructions to the Roorkee Unit to issue gazette notifications in three phases. In the first phase, a gazette notification listing all relevant villages, tehsils and farmers’ khasra (land record) numbers is being prepared. It is expected to be released by January 31, 2026.
