Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in his Independence Day address on Monday, said that free education and health services are not freebies and India can become the world’s number 1 country if these facilities are provided to the people.
After hoisting the flag at Chhatrasal Stadium on the occasion of Independence Day, CM Kejriwal said that giving good treatment to people is not a free revdi. People sells jewellery and land for treatment. We have to take a vow that if anyone out of 130 crores is ill, then everyone will get him treated together.
Treatment of people is free in all rich countries, we do not need insurance, we need a hospital.
He said, ‘Don’t call education a free Bee. They are our children, if there is a shortage of money, then we will eat less bread for one time but will give free and good education to the children. 39 countries give free education. Only education will make India a rich country in a generation.’
“Other Countries Overtook India”
Expressing grief over the fact that many countries that gained independence after India have overtaken it, he once again emphasized that better education and health care are the keys to becoming a prosperous country. Kejriwal said that the tricolor will fly high only when every Indian gets better education and health facilities. Greetings to all on the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence. The country is full of happiness and enthusiasm. There is a wave of patriotism and passion in the climate.
Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘Tomorrow belongs to India and 130 crore people of the country need to come together and resolve to make India number one country in the world’.
He said, ‘We came together and took out the British rule from the country. Today, if we come together, we can make India the number one country in the world.’
Paying tributes to the freedom fighters and those fighting for the development and progress of the country, he said that it is time to celebrate progress in various fields. However, we need to think about the challenges and the future, the Chief Minister said. Many people are asking how many countries have overtaken us in 75 years. Singapore, which became independent 15 years after India, and Japan, which was devastated in the Second World War, overtook us. We are not less than anyone. Indians are the most intelligent, hardworking people in the world but still we are lagging behind.
CM Kejriwal concluded his address by singing the song ‘Hum honge kaamyaab’.
