Ather 450 Apex: Ather Energy has finally released the Apex 450 electric scooter in India, priced at Rs 1.89 lakh ex-showroom, following multiple teasers. In comparison to the 450S and 450X, the new Ather Apex 450 boasts superior performance and will be the top model in the 450 series. Powertrain details
The Ather 450 Apex is powered by the same 3.7kWh battery pack found in the 450X, but with a few modifications and the addition of the Wrap+ mode, it can accelerate to a top speed of 100 kmph from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. Ather further states that the Apex has an IDC range of 157 km and produces 210 Nm of torque at the wheel.
Magic Twist features
A brand-new, cutting-edge regenerative braking technology that works with a brand-new energy management algorithm called “Magic Twist” is another vital innovation. According to Ather, the system can stop the scooter completely without the need for brake lever inputs. It also guarantees smooth operation independent of the battery’s state of charge (SoC).
Price in India
The Ather 450 Apex costs Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ather intends to manufacture the 450 Apex exclusively till October 2024, with production of the device being restricted based on demand. Orders for this flagship Ather can be placed starting now, with delivery scheduled to begin in March 2024.
