Bengaluru Man receives Tata Nexon Facelift from Showroom

Recently, Sharath Kumar from Bengaluru purchased his dream vehicle—a brand-new Tata Nexon—and was taken aback when he and his family arrived at the store to take delivery of the vehicle. The car, for which he had paid almost Rs 18.2 lakh, was really delivered in a very miserable manner. In the video that Sharath shared on social media during the car’s delivery, it is evident that the car’s doors and bonnet have been damaged and the headlights are flooded with water.

In his post, Sharath Kumar disclosed that he bought the vehicle from Prerna Motors, a Yelahanka based dealership. He called him “the worst dealer of Tata Motors” in the post. Sharad claims that no pre-delivery inspection (PDI) or quality check (QC) was performed, even though the car was previously registered in his name.

Sharath said in the post that since the problem began almost a month ago, neither Tata nor Prerna Motors show any interest in fixing it or giving me a replacement or a refund. According to Sharad, the dealership only asks that I accept their car with a two-year extended warranty after repairs.

Tata Motor’s response

Millions of people have seen the video that Sharath uploaded to Instagram a few days ago after receiving a damaged car delivery, which infuriated him. Sharath received a message regarding this issue from Tata Motors’ official account after the video went viral. The user received the following message from the company: “We are sorry for the inconvenience, please share your e-mail ID through DM, so that we can assist you soon with the concerned team.”
