BMW M 1000 R: The M 1000 R has been released by BMW Motorrad in India, with the base model starting at a base price of Rs 33 lakh and the competition model coming in at Rs 38 lakh. Both costs are ex-showroom. In this article, we will tell you all about this amazing bike.
BMW M 1000 R launched in India
Around the same time last year, this motorcycle and its fully-faired sibling, the M 1000 RR, were both introduced internationally.
Mr. Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India, said, “The all-new BMW M 1000 R is the second M model from BMW Motorrad. This powerful superbike pushes you to the limit with its dynamic roadster characteristics and stunning performance. Its heritage stems from M racing developers and the racetrack. Powertrain details
An inline, four-cylinder, 999cc motor with liquid cooling and 212bhp and 113Nm power the M 1000 R. A slip-and-assist clutch and BMW‘s ShiftCam technology are utilised in conjunction with a six-speed gearbox that is connected to it.
Features onboard
Speaking of features, inside the M 1000 R, you will find adjustable suspension at both ends. Additionally, a rear mono-shock is available with a 45 mm USD fork. If we look at the brakes, we can see that this motorcycle has ABS throughout. This will have a single 220 mm disc brake in the back and 320 mm twin disc brakes up front. The M 1000R has a six-axis inertial measuring unit, a 6.5-inch TFT screen, and adjustable throttle and engine braking settings.
Price in India
Both the standard and competition versions of the M 1000 R are available for sale (both ex-showroom, Delhi) for the asking prices of Rs. 33 lakh and Rs. 38 lakh, respectively.
