According to a report by ET Now, Indian Railways is considering launching this service before Chaitra Navratri, which begins on March 30, 2025. While an official confirmation is awaited, strong possibilities indicate that the train will start operations by the end of March. The introduction of this train is set to enhance travel convenience for devotees visiting Mata Vaishno Devi and tourists heading to Kashmir.

Expected ticket prices for the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Train are as follows:

• AC Chair Car: ₹1500-₹1600
• Executive Chair Car: ₹2200-₹2500

These fares will include additional charges, such as a reservation fee of ₹40 and a superfast surcharge of ₹45. However, official ticket prices are yet to be announced by Indian Railways.
