Gorakhpur Link Expressway: Lucknow to Gorakhpur in Just 3.5 Hours, Operations to Start Soon

Gorakhpur Link Expressway: Uttar Pradesh is to get one more expressway soon. The Gorakhpur Link Expressway connecting to Purvanchal Expressway is expected to be ready by June 15, 2025. This expressway will provide benefits to many but people of four  districts will get direct benefit.

The Gorakhpur Link Expressway connecting to Purvanchal Expressway  is  almost ready, laying asphalt is left on one km service lane in Khajni area, and work of securing the approach road near Kamhariyaghat Bridge at Belghat is going on. All the reaming work is expected to be completed  by June 15,2025.
•    The Gorakhpur Link Expressway connecting to Purvanchal Expressway will be fully ready by June 15. Now only the work of laying asphalt on one km service lane in Khajni area is left, while the work of securing the approach road near Kamhariyaghat Bridge at Belghat is going on
•    As per officials of Setu Nigam, providing three-tier security to the approach, the repair work of the approach road will be completed within a week. The work of changing the course of the river is going on and will be completed on time.
•    The Gorakhpur Link Expressway starts at Jaitpur near Sahajanwan and connects the Purvanchal Expressway at Salarpur in Azamgarh district. 
•    People of four districts-Gorakhpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Azamgarh will get direct benefits from this 91.35 km long Gorakhpur Link Expressway.
•    The expressway is being constructed with a cost of more than 7000 crore rupees. 
•    After opening of the expressway, the journey from Gprakhpur to Lucknow can be completed around 3.5 hours. Although the distance to Lucknow via the expressway is 30 to 40 km more than Lucknow via Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, but due to lack of obstacles, the journey time will be less.

Grand Inauguration Ceremony for Gorakhpur Link Expressway

As express is near completion, preparation for inauguration is going on. The inauguration program of Gorakhpur Link Expressway will be massive. The inauguration program is being planned to be organized Gorakhpur-Azamgarh border. PM Narendra Modi or Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari  is expected to inaugurate the expressway in the presence of UP CM Yogi Adityanath. During a program organized in Gorakhpur in March on the completion of eight years of the government, the CM Yogi Adityanath indicated that soon traffic would start on the expressway. For this, a grand inauguration program will be organized.

Gorakhpur Link Expressway is expected to be completed by 15th June, 2025. This will save time and make travel convenient. People of nearby districts to get benefit directly after its inauguration.
