Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: The length of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is 210 km. Delhi to Dehradun can now be covered in just 2.5 hours after the completion of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. People from Delhi and nearby areas will not have to spend more time to visit Dehradun.

Details of New Delhi-Dehradun Expressway

•    Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is being developed at a cost of around ₹12,000 core. 
•    Its route will start from Akshardham in Delhi and pass through Baghpat, Shamli, and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh and ultimately reach Dehradun. 
•    This project includes a 3.4-kilometre section in Dehradun, stretching from Datkali to Asharodi, which is already operational.
•    As per National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials, the remaining portions of the project would be finished within 2-3 months
•    The route includes 113 underpasses, 5 railways over bridges, 76 km of service roads, 16 entry/exit points, 29 km of elevated roads and 62 bus shelters.
•    It has a 340-metre, three-lane tunnel at Datkali in Dehradun.
•    After being operational, the expressway will cut journey time from 6.5 hours to 2.5 hours for the distance of 210 km.

Delhi to Mussoorie in 4 Hours after Delhi-Dehradun Expressway

This project will make travelling from Delhi to Mussoorie much faster and convenient due to the construction of a new 26-kilometre elevated road which will directly connect the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway to the hill station. Delhi to Mussoorie can be reached in 4 hours. The proposed elevated corridor will cover the Rispana and Bindal rivers in Dehradun, which will allow easy and continuous vehicle movement. 

Tourists Can Even Plan a Single-Day Trip

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will also help to those travellers from Delhi and nearby areas who could not visit Dehradun due to lack of time. Currently, people needed minimum two days off to visit Dehradun as it takes around 14 hours in travel only. But now people can visit Dehradun by taking just one day off. They can go there in the morning and visit whole day and can return in the evening. People can plan to visit on Sunday.
