Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: The top gainers in the Nifty index are Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Titan Company, Divis Laboratories, Eicher Motors and Hindustan Unilever. Whereas Infosys, Indusind Bank, LTI Mindtree, Wipro and Bajaj Finserv are the top losers. Veteran investor Radakishan Damani paid an average price of Rs 3,689.96 for 2.33 lakh shares, or 1.51% of VST Industries. Damani purchased shares for Rs 86.25 crore. As of December 2023, he owned 32.89 percent of the corporation. He now owns 34.4 percent of the company after this sale.

Following a volatile opening half of the session, the Bank Nifty index steadied and closed above its 20-day moving average, which is currently at 47,500. The index may decline towards the 48,000 mark if it maintains above the 47,500–47,400 range. On the other hand, closing below 47,300 would lead to additional selling pressure and even send the index lower, all the way to 46,500. Following a volatile opening half of the session, the Bank Nifty index steadied and closed above its 20-day moving average, which is currently at 47,500. The index may decline towards the 48,000 mark if it maintains above the 47,500–47,400 range.
