Covid Update: DDM to hold meeting on 27 January in Delhi over Covid surge

The speed of corona is increasing day by day in India. Although the figures of daily cases have decreased in some states, but there are still many states like Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka, where new cases of corona have increased the tension. On Sunday, 50,210 new patients suffering from corona virus infection were found in Karnataka. At the same time, 38,563 new cases were registered in Karnataka a day earlier. This is the second time that the number of daily cases in Karnataka has crossed 50 thousand. Last year on May 5, 50,112 new patients were found. Although then the death toll was 346 whereas today it is 19.

In the last 24 hours, 45,449 new cases have been reported in Kerala and 40,805 new cases in Maharashtra. During the last 24 hours, 3,06,064 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in India, taking the total number of people infected so far in the country to 3,95,43,328. Active cases in the country have reached 22.49 lakh, which is the highest in the last 241 days.

5394 new cases of corona have been reported in Jammu and Kashmir. Out of these, 2045 cases have been reported from Jammu and 3349 cases from Kashmir. At the same time 8 people have died, after which the number of active cases has gone up to 44609.

There will be an important meeting of DDM on January 27 regarding the situation of Corona in Delhi. The meeting will be chaired by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal.
