Health: Healthy Tricolour Sandwich Recipe To Create Independence Day Spirit in Your Taste Buds

This recipe has brought out Indian Flag colours in Indian tricolour sandwich recipe.Inspiring one for the kids and as well as for the elders.Here is a kid friendly carrot and paneer layered sandwich recipe.The method of making tricolour recipe is quite easy and quick,you can also make it when you have guests coming over suddenly.

The ingredients are easily available in the market, nothing extraordinary,but the outcome is supremely fabulous.The combo of home made soft cottage cheese,aromatic mint chutney,carrot and mayonnaise makes it mouthwatering.

Here are the ingredients:

For Tricolour Sandwich-

6 Bread Slices

Butter for spreading

For The Orange Layer-

1 medium sized carrot

2tbsp mayonnaise

Salt to taste

For The Green Layer-

2 tbsp mint chutney

1/2 cup grated paneer(cottage cheese)

Cabbage

Salt to Taste

For serving with Tricolour Sandwich

Tomato Ketchup

How to make Tricolour Sandwich

Step 1 Prepare the stuffing

In a mixing bowl, add grated cabbage, carrot, mayonnaise and salt. Divide the mixture into three separate mixing bowls. Add schezwan sauce to one and mint chutney in another and mix well. Keep the third mixture plain.

Step 2 Prepare the tricolour sandwich

Apply butter to the bread slices. Apply the mint chutney mixture on the first slice. Place another bread slice on top. Keeping the buttered side up. Spread the plain mixture on this bread slice. Spread evenly. Place another bread slice on this and spread the schezwan mixture on it. Cover with the final bread slice.

Step 3 Gently cut into two and serve.
