Bihar news: Govt. Rejects proposed site for AIIMS Darbhanga Project

The much awaited AIIMS Darbhanga Project will have to wait some more time to get started as the proposed project has been shown a Red Flag by the health Ministry and requested the Bihar Government to come up with some other substitute for the project. The Union Ministry has termed the land as ‘unsuitable’ .The Health Secretary has written a letter to the Nitish Government mentioning the possible reasons about why implementing the project at the proposed land would be difficult.

Sushil Modi: History will not forgive Nitish Kumar for the delay

This is not the first time the project was halted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, it was rejected earlier also. The State Government had earlier surrendered 81 acres of land on the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital after the state government has granted the permission for shifting of 200 acres of Darbhanga Medical College land for the proposed scheme in the year 2021. Meanwhile Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar clarified doubts about the proposed project saying that the project will be shifted to the better location as early as possible. Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi also hits out at Prime Minister Modi saying that history will not forgive Nitish Kumar if AIIMS is not built at Darbhanga.
