Centre-state on alert after 2 deaths from H3N2; Symptoms, Treatment, Dos And Don’ts

The fear of Covid-19 in the country had not even stopped completely that another deadly virus has entered. According to sources, two death cases have been reported in the country due to H3N2 virus. With this, the number of people infected with this virus has increased to 90. In the Union Ministry of Health, brainstorming has started regarding this and efforts have been intensified regarding preventive measures. More cases of this disease are coming in North India.

Especially in some areas of Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, its patients have been seen more. Along with this, its patients have also been found in Karnataka, the southern part of the country. Deaths have also taken place in Karnataka and Haryana.

Cough can last for 10-12 days

According to the doctors, most of the patients who are reaching the hospital are coming with complaints of cough for 10 to 12 days. In such a situation, the question is whether it is Corona itself or something else? According to experts, both corona virus and influenza have similar symptoms. Like Corona, H3N2 virus also infects very fast. Corona test of samples of patients suspected of influenza is also being done.

What are the symptoms and how to prevent

Patients infected with h3N2 virus may complain of cough, fever, chills, breathlessness and nervousness. Along with this, complaints of sore throat, body pain and diarrhea have also been received in some patients. The big problem is that all these symptoms persist for a long time.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has advised to wash hands regularly and wear masks. All these advices are similar to Covid. Along with this, a lot of fluids in food and drink, avoiding touching the eyes and nose and intake of paracetamol for fever and body pain have been urged. It is more fatal in adults, elderly and small children with weak immunity.
