Honda Sustaina-C Concept: Honda delivered more than just the unexpected Prelude Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show; the Japanese company also unveiled the Sustaina-C, a compact electric city car. Read on to learn more about this unique EV.

Honda Sustaina-C Concept details

With a sustainable body composed of recycled acrylic resin, the new Sustaina-C design resembles a boxier version of the Honda E. The Pocket Concept, a small electric two-wheeler with a futuristic appearance, was made of the same material.

The two-tone paint extends to the wheel arches for a chunkier appearance, and while the outline may resemble the Honda e, the bonnet is more angular. To help with rolling resistance reduction, certain very thin tyres are mounted on the flathead wheels.

The Honda E’s 35.5kWh battery is probably mated to the Sustaina-C, which has an all-electric drivetrain. Though the maximum range of the Honda E is 137 miles, perhaps the Sustaina-C can travel a little farther.

Pocket Concept details

A miniature electric bike called the Pocket Concept, on the other hand, is modelled after the well-known Motocompo from the 1980s. Honda claims that it’s made for “last-mile mobility,” meaning you can toss it in the Sustaina-C’s back until you need to make a quick getaway to town.
