Jaishankar’s Dig At China On Violation Of Border Pacts

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has indirectly made a big attack on China. S Jaishankar said that when nations violate agreements, there is a huge loss of trust.

What did the foreign minister say

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday said when nations flout legal obligations or violate long-standing agreements, trust is severely damaged.

He said these things while addressing the 6th Indian Ocean Conference in the capital of Bangladesh.

Jaishankar further said that an important shared concern in the Indian Ocean region is the debt generated by non-viable projects. After independence in 1962 and now in Galvan. China has never been honest about agreements. This is the reason why India has always been showing a mirror to China. On Friday too, the External Affairs Minister, apparently referring to China’s violation of the boundary agreement with India, said- “When nations disregard legal obligations or violate long-standing agreements, as we have seen, the damage to trust and confidence is enormous.”

He said that this is not the time to repeat but to rectify it. Jaishankar is in Dhaka to participate in the 6th edition of the Indian Ocean Conference. In which President of Mauritius Prithviraj Singh Rupan, Vice President of Maldives Faisal Naseem, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and many ministers from all over the world are participating.

India has been continuously protesting

India has been critical of China’s aggressive behavior and deployment of a large number of troops along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh, which is in violation of the agreement on border management.
