US President Joe Biden has declared an emergency in Florida. This announcement was made due to Tropical Storm Ian that hit Florida. Along with this, an order has also been issued to provide assistance to the local authorities.
Joe Biden has also ordered to provide help to the tribal and local people of Florida as soon as possible. Tropical Storm Ian formed over the central Caribbean Sea late on Friday, becoming the ninth storm of the season. Only after this emergency was declared on Saturday.
Hurricane Ian is forecast to strengthen as it passed near the Cayman Islands and intensified into a Grade 3 hurricane on Tuesday. Now it is expected to become a 4th grade storm. However, the track and intensity of the storm may change in the coming days.
An official statement said that the storm has the potential to strengthen and all Floridians have been asked to make their preparations. Coordination is being done with all state and local government partners to track the potential impacts of this storm.
Earlier, an emergency was also declared for Puerto Rico. In view of the threat of Tropical Hurricane Fiona, an emergency was imposed here. Because the winds of Hurricane Fiona had increased their speed and this cyclone was turning into a hurricane.
Along with this, Typhoon Noru storm is also increasing rapidly towards the Philippines. In the Philippines, many areas, including the capital Manila, are being evacuated. It is being called a Category 5 great storm.
