Powertrain details

The 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine in the Suzuki Jimny, built to Indian specifications, produces 104 HP and 134 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic gearbox are your choices. All four wheels can be driven by the Jimny’s low-range transfer case.

The 2-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines that are available for the off-3-door roader’s equivalent are also available for the 5-door Thar, however, they will be tuned significantly differently. These engines ought to be compatible with 6-speed manual and automated transmissions. Mahindra is anticipated to offer both RWD and 4WD options for the 5-door Thar.

Features

A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, automated climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, and a multi-info display are some of the top features of the Jimny. Six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a camera, and electronic stability control all contribute to passenger safety.

In addition to the 3-door Thar’s current features, it might include automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and push-button start/stop. Additionally, we anticipate that it will include an 8-inch touchscreen.

Price in India

Jimny’s starting ex-showroom pricing has been set by the business at Rs 12.75 lakh. The manual Zeta version is priced at this amount. The Zeta Automatic costs Rs 13.94 lakh ex-showroom in this. While the top-tier Alpha variant’s manual version costs Rs 13.69 lakh, the ex-showroom cost of the Alpha variant with an automatic gearbox is Rs 14.89 lakh. These prices apply to the single-tone versions of it. Dual variants cost between Rs. 13.85 and Rs. 15.05 lakh ex-showroom. Only two versions and four gearbox choices are available for the SUV.
