Petrol and Diesel Price Update: According to the most recent price update sent out by fuel retailers, the price of petrol and diesel remained stable across cities on January 3, 2023.
Delhi charges Rs 96.65 for petrol and Rs 89.82 for diesel per litre, respectively. Diesel costs Rs 94.27 per litre and petrol costs Rs 106.31 in Mumbai.
The finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, announced on May 21 a reduction in excise rates for petrol and diesel of Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre, respectively. A reduction in VAT of Rs. 5 per litre for petrol and Rs. 3 per litre for diesel was announced by the Maharashtra government to take effect on July 15.
