Arvind Kejriwal says Delhi preparing for third COVID-19 wave, demands more vaccines

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that we are increasing the beds of oxygen in Delhi. If we have to face the third wave after a few days, then this time we will not have to face such troubles. People of Delhi will get better treatment. He said that a maximum of 28,000 cases were registered in Delhi in a single day. Looking at that, we are already trying to strengthen the infrastructure this time.

If we get to see patients in the same way in the third wave, then we will be able to provide them medical care. If the third wave also brings 30,000 patients in a day, then they will also get treatment. At present, work is being done to increase the number of fleet in all the hospitals of the capital. Till now, there was a shortage of oxygen, which has been resolved to a great extent.

The government and some other institutions have made a large number of beds available in Delhi. It has also been contributed by DRDO, Army, Gurdwara and other private organizations, as a result of which there is no longer a problem for beds as was seen in the month of April. Now the rate of infection is also decreasing and the number of patients is also decreasing slightly.

In the last one day, 12 thousand cases of corona virus have been reported in Delhi. There itself 319 people died. The decreasing figures of Kovid are giving relief on one side, but on the other hand the figures of death still remain worrying. The number of active cases of Covid in Delhi is more than 85 thousand. So far, more than 19 thousand people have died.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan regarding the corona vaccine. CM Kejriwal in his letter has appealed to the Health Minister to order Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech to provide 60 lakh vaccine doses every month to Delhi during May and July.

Apart from this, Arvind Kejriwal has also demanded that the states should be allowed to create their own app or mechanism regarding vaccination.

In the letter, CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “There are about 92 lakh people between the ages of 18 and 45 in DelhiI urge you to order Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech to supply 60 lakhs per month between May and July to Delhi.

He said that in the next three months, for the vaccination of both groups, ie 18-45 and above 45 people, we will need doses of 83 lakh vaccines every month. The CM said that we have already prepared the basic infrastructure and every day about 1 lakh people are being vaccinated with the corona vaccine. In the next few days, we will increase it to about 3 lakhs. So our capacity is that we can put 9 million vaccines every month .
