Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee first became the Prime Minister in 1996 for 13 days and after that in 1998 he ran the government for 13 months at the Center.

In 1999, he became the Prime Minister of the country for the third time and remained in this post till the defeat of NDA in 2004. During his tenure, India achieved this capability by conducting nuclear tests. At the same time, by stopping the Pakistani infiltration in Kargil, India had dusted the neighboring country.
