CM Yogi opens up about lockdown in UP

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict guidelines to control the situation of uncontrolled coronavirus infection in the state.

On Monday, addressing the meeting of Team 11, the Chief Minister said that he would neither lockdown nor let people die in misery.

He said that it is the responsibility of the officials to ensure that there is no shortage of hospital beds for the patients in the state.

‘No scope for negligence’

The Chief Minister suggested to handle private hospitals and laboratories to manage the situation of Covid in UP.

Emphasizing more and more corona tests, contact tracing and treatment, the CM said, ‘Private hospitals and medical colleges should be controlled to remove deficiencies when needed. Our priority is to implement an effective strategy to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

We have to fight the Corona pandemic with full preparation, because there is no scope for any kind of negligence in this fight

India on Monday reported 1,68,912 new Covid-19 cases and 904 deaths in last 24 hours, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. The total number of cases stand at 1,35,27,717.

There are 12,01,009 active cases in the country at present while 1,21,56,529 people have recovered from the disease. The death toll has risen to 1,70,179. As many as 10,45,28,565 people have been administered the Covid-19 vaccine.
