Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar, who reached Maharashtra in the Bharat Jodo Yatra, has given a statement about Hindutva, which is becoming fiercely viral on social media.
During the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Friday (November 11), Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar said that Hindutva is not a ‘Fair and Lovely’ cream that when winter comes, there is another cream for lips and another for feet. There will be cream.
Kanhaiya Kumar said, “Hindutva is a proper ideology, a political ideology. If you read Savarkar who was born here in Maharashtra, you will understand. What is being circulated on WhatsApp today is soft Hindutva and hard Hindutva Is…Venom is venom, whether it is that of a child of a snake or that of an adult snake.”
What did Kanhaiya Kumar say?
Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra has reached Nanded district of Maharashtra where Kanhaiya Kumar, in response to a question, said, “Please, don’t insult Hinduismm. Any ideology that uses the name of religion and pits people against each other is not a religion at all. Because the aim of any religion is the liberation of the human mind.”
“Our perception is corrupted”
The question was about Rahul Gandhi visiting temples during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. To which Kanhaiya Kumar replied, “How much power is there in your glasses?” Kanhaiya asked the reporter and said that he did not mean to make fun of the question. Kanhaiya said, “Look, it is a problem of the eyes, but nowadays our perception is also getting corrupted so that we cannot see the truth.”
“There was discussion on going to the temple, not on going to the gurudwara”
Kanhaiya Kumar said, “When I went to a temple in Kerala, people talked about it, but when I went to a gurudwara, no one said anything. This is the pivot of India’s political discourse from where this question comes. Rahul ji went to temples, churches, mosques, on his journey also reached schools, colleges and factories. For us, all these places are sacred because people get their livelihood here, we are travelers and the road itself is very sacred to us.”
“We will not fall into the Hindu-Muslim trap”
The Congress leader further said, “Muslim League said that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together, Hindu Mahasabha also said the same. Then how did they form an alliance?” Kanhaiya said, “PM Modi was right. The only difference is in the dress, the poison is the same. They are dividing people in the same way. We will not fall into this trap”.
