JDU emergency met: JDU likely to get new President

Janata Dal United (JDU) may get a new national president today. It is expected to be decided in the meeting of the National Executive convened by the party after the current National President RCP Singh joined the Union Cabinet. Bihar Chief Minister and party leader Nitish Kumar left for Delhi on Friday evening to attend the meeting. Apart from CM Nitish, all the office bearers of JDU and all the members of the national executive have also started reaching Delhi from Friday evening itself. Top leaders of JDU from across the country will attend this meeting to be chaired by National President RCP Singh in the presence of Nitish Kumar.

JDU National General Secretary Afaq Ahmed Khan said that the preparations for the meeting of the National Executive have been completed. Today (July 31), the National President will hold a meeting with the party office bearers from 11.30 am at the JDU headquarters at 7 Jantar Mantar in Delhi. In this meeting, JDU’s National Parliamentary Board President Upendra Kushwaha, Principal General Secretary KC Tyagi, National Secretary General Ramnath Thakur, Sanjay Kumar Jha, Ghulam Rasool Baliavi, Afaq Ahmed Khan, Ramsewak Singh, National Secretary Vidyasagar Nishad, Sanjay Verma, RP Mandal and Treasurer And MP DrAlok Kumar Suman etc. will participate. The agenda of the National Executive will be discussed in the meeting.

The meeting of the National Executive will begin at 4 pm in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and under the chairmanship of RCP Singh. In this meeting, the national office bearers of the party, all the members of the national executive, all MPs including Lalan Singh, JDU state presidents of about two dozen states will attend. In this meeting, a decision will also be taken regarding the participation of JDU in the assembly elections of five states UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur and Goa. Along with this, decisions will also be taken on organizational strength and membership drive.
