Karbi Anglong Agreement signed in Assam 1000 cadres laid down arms in presence of Amit Shah

The history of the Karbi group has been associated with murders, ethnic violence, kidnappings and taxation since the early 1980s. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said after the agreement that under the new agreement, people from the hill tribes would be entitled to reservation under Schedule 6 of the Indian Constitution.
