PM Narendra Modi Reviews Covid Situation In India

In view of the threat of the third wave of Corona, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reviewing the epidemic and vaccination in the country in a high-level meeting. In this, the states are being informed about the precautionary steps by taking information about the latest situation.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi was informed by the officials about the current situation of Corona in the country. Apart from this, the PM was also apprised of the preparations for the coming days. At the same time, the PM also saw the progress report of vaccination in the country. Also instructed him to continue at high speed. According to sources, there will be many festivals in September, so it is expected that the Ministry of Home Affairs may issue new guidelines for the states.

He had said that 35 districts of the country are still reporting weekly Covid positivity rate of more than 10 per cent, while it is between five and 10 per cent in 30 districts. More than half of India’s adult population has received at least one dose of the anti-coronavirus vaccine, while 18 percent have received both. Along with this, the central government said on Thursday that the total number of corona vaccinations in the country has crossed 72 crores.

34,973 new corona cases were registered in the country yesterday, which is 19 percent less than the previous day. According to a report by news agency Reuters, in the last few months, India has arranged for new beds in many more hospitals. Along with this, more than 100 oxygen tankers have been imported, which in total is about 1,250. Meanwhile, the central government has approved the construction of about 1,600 oxygen plants in hospitals. Although less than 300 were installed early last month, as imports take time.

All the states are preparing special pediatric wards to deal with the third wave of corona. Some experts have warned that young children may be vulnerable to any new corona virus. At the same time, states including Madhya Pradesh are engaged in stocking anti-viral drugs like Remdesivir.
