Punjab News:It s a fight between two leaders in the state of Punjab for staking claim on the Chandigarh city. The Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has challenged the opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa to clear out the stand of his party on the Himachal Pradesh Government over Chandigarh. The Chief Minister also issued a letter asking the Minister’s response over the issue as it is confusing.
Mann: Cong should clear its stand on Chandigarh
The Chief Minister also added that his party must clear the picture over the fake claims made by his congress party in Himachal Pradesh. The CM said that Chandigarh will always be an integral part of the state. He specifically said that our Government is committed to safeguarding the interests of the state and its people. The AAP spokesperson said that Congress ‘s claim of Himachal Government over Chandigarh is unacceptable and baseless.
‘Only Punjab has the right on Chandigarh’
The AAP Government also wrote a letter which says that only Punjab has all the rights on Chandigarh, which was built by the villages of Punjab. But during 60s the Congress Government at the Centre cheated the people of Punjab by giving parts of Chandigarh to Haryana. The Former Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha said that Government should not spoken openly about such a sensitive issue as this is a crucial matter for Punjab and every Punjabi.
