Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu has invited party MLAs for breakfast at his Amritsar residence. About 62 Congress MLAs reached his residence. After which Sidhu reached the Golden Temple along with the ministers and MLAs. On the question of apologizing to CM Captain Amarinder Singh, Congress MLA Pargat Singh said that why Congress President Sidhu should apologize to the CM. He said that apologizing is not a public issue. Along with this, he said that there are many such issues which the CM has not resolved. In such a situation, on the contrary, he should apologize to the public.
Ever since Sidhu became the president, the process of break-up of leaders from CM Amarinder’s camp continues. Rajkumar Verka, who is said to be close to Amarinder Singh, has also joined the Sidhu group. On the other hand, the Captain is still trying to bring the Taksali leaders into his camp. On the other hand, senior Congress leader and cabinet minister Brahm Mohindra has welcomed the appointment of Navjot Singh Sidhu as the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. But CM has refused to have a personal meeting with Sidhu till the matter is settled with Captain Amarinder Singh.

CM’s media advisor Raveen Thukral tweeted that, “There are reports that Navjot Singh Sidhu has sought an appointment with Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, which is completely wrong. No time of any kind has been sought nor will Chief Minister Navjot Singh meet Sidhu till he publicly apologizes to him.”
According to sources, with Sidhu becoming the state president, the Congress party in the state has been divided into two parts. However, Sidhu does not want such a loss to the party as soon as he becomes the president. For the past several days, this is why Sidhu is constantly meeting senior leaders and ministers.
