Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will host a dinner for leaders of various parties in the Rajya Sabha on Monday at his residence.
Dhankhar is also the Chairman of Rajya Sabha. He was sworn in as the Vice President on 11 August.
Leaders of various parties have been meeting Dhankhar since he took over. However, this will be Dhankhar’s first formal interaction with leaders of various parties in the Rajya Sabha.
The dinner is being hosted ahead of the winter session of Parliament which usually begins in the third week of November. This will be the first session under the chairmanship of Dhankhar as the Chairman of the Upper House.
Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha and Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi will also attend the dinner.
