What is the mass conversion row in Delhi?

Leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party and Vishwa Hindu Parishad are terming Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as ‘anti-Hindu’. The BJP’s allegation has come after 10 thousand people were converted from Hinduism to Buddhism in the presence of Rajendra Pal Gautam, a minister in the Kejriwal government. Allegedly, people attending the event were also administered an oath not to worship Hindu deities Rama-Krishna, Vishnu and Shankar. The BJP has reacted strongly to this and called it the anti-Hindu face of Arvind Kejriwal.

BJP leader Manoj Tiwari has shared a video alleging that the ministers of the Aam Aadmi Party government are not only taking oath against Hinduism, but they are also getting a large number of people with them to take anti-Hindu oath. BJP leader has asked why is the Aam Aadmi Party so anti-Hindu?

Another BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has tweeted that a minister of Kejriwal is standing on the stage and saying derogatory things to Hindu gods and goddesses. This explains why Kejriwal bans Diwali-Dussehra and why he lies on the issue of Kashmiri Pandits. VHP has described it as the worst face of politics and has demanded strict action against the accused after this conversion incident. However, the Aam Aadmi Party or the Delhi government has not yet reacted to the incident.
