“Who’s Pappu Now?”: Mahua Moitra Slams Centre

During the winter session of Parliament, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra fiercely surrounded the government through figures. Moitra said that the government had assured the people in February that the government was doing well, but the figures show that the government lied to the people. Mohua Moitra said that the BJP government uses the word ‘Pappu’ to talk about inefficiency, but the government’s economic data shows who is the real ‘Pappu’?

Apart from this, she took a jibe at BJP’s Himachal defeat and said that the BJP president could not even save his home state in the elections, now who is ‘Pappu’? Moitra also questioned the increasing number of citizens giving up their citizenship of India. She said that between 2014 and 2022, the total number of Indians who renounced the citizenship of India has increased to more than 12.5 lakh.

During this, Mahua claimed that ‘ED is being used to harass the leaders of the opposition parties’. It should be told what is the percentage of conviction in ED cases? Is this agency being used only to harass people? Who is the real ‘Pappu’?

What is the government doing to generate additional revenue, especially non-tax revenue, she asked. Moitra said that after eight months now in December the truth will be seen limping.

Because, apart from the budget estimate, the government will need an additional amount of Rs 3.26 lakh crore.

Manoj Jha demanded 52% reservation in Parliament

RJD MP Manoj Jha surrounded the government on OBC reservation. Jha placed a demand in front of the government in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday that OBC reservation should be increased to 52% immediately. During the discussion on the Constitution (SC-ST) Order (Second Amendment) Bill, Manoj Jha said that after the Supreme Court’s decision on EWS reservation, now the limit of reservation has been broken.

In such a situation, the government should immediately increase the reservation of OBCs to 52% in proportion to the population. Apart from this, while advocating the caste census, Jha said that like the Bihar government, the central government should also get it done immediately because without scientific data, there will be a flaw in the policy and intention of the government.
