Sri Nagar: Policeman shot by terrorist

A policeman was seriously injured in firing by terrorists near Aiwa Bridge on Doctor Ali Jan Road in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday.

The injured jawan has been identified as Ghulam Hassan Dar, son of Ghulam Rasool Dar, Danwar Idgah. The terrorists attacked him when he was going on duty on a motor cycle.

He is posted in PCR. The Resistance Front (TRF) has claimed responsibility for this attack.

This incident happened this morning. Confirming the attack, a police official said that the attack was probably carried out by terrorists from an ambush.

Ghulam Hasan was attacked when he was going towards PCR on his motor cycle.

Suddenly the terrorists came and started firing on him indiscriminately. As soon as he was shot, Ghulam Hassan fell on the road. As soon as he fell, the terrorists fled from there.

With the help of local people, the injured policeman was rushed to Skims Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is quite critical

After this attack, the security system in Srinagar has been tightened.

This is not the first time that terrorists have targeted a policeman. Even before this, terrorists have been attacking security forces in a similar manner. Most of such attacks have been carried out by terrorists of The Resistance Front belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The operation of the security forces in search of the attackers is still going on.
