Engine and transmission

Being the most powerful 160cc motorbike in the nation, the Apache RTR 160 4V is driven by a 159.7cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that produces 19.2PS at 9250rpm and 14.2Nm at 7250rpm in Sport mode. The three riding modes: Sport, Urban, and Rain—that TVS has added to the RTR 160 4V are also available.

An air/oil-cooled, fuel-injected 160.3cc engine powers the Pulsar NS160. It works with a 5-speed gearbox to produce 17.2PS at 9,000 rpm and 14.6Nm at 7250 rpm.

Features

The headlamp, tail lights, and indicators of the 2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V are all LEDs.  The top-end disc and Special Edition models come with a completely digital, multifunctional instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Another neat feature is the “Glide Through Traffic” (GTT) function, which is effectively a low-speed assist that makes it much easier to crawl through traffic by assisting the bike to go through it without having to use the clutch hard.

The Halogen headlamp of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 has Pilot Laps on both sides. While the tail lamp is an LED, the indicators are bulb-based. The motorbike could have had an LED headlamp from Bajaj. The motorbike has a semi-digital instrument cluster with readings for the speed, rpm, fuel level, clock, odometer, and trip metre in addition to other standard information. The redesigned model features a new console and adds readouts for the gear position, current mileage, and the distance until the tank is empty.
