Yamuna Authority Speeds Up 60-Meter Road Work, Toll-Free Route to Noida International Airport by October 30

The largest residential sectors—Sector-18 and Sector-20—are located along this route. In addition, several major universities and institutions are situated nearby.

Yamuna Authority has accelerated work on the 60-meter-wide road, removing hurdles and repairing key patches. Around 400 meters of damaged stretch near Rabupura is already being fixed, while work on two other stuck portions will also be completed soon. The authority has claimed that this road will be fully ready and operational by October 30. Once completed, it will provide a smooth alternative route to Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) without depending on the Yamuna Expressway, saving both travel time and toll charges.

Toll-Free Access to the Airport

This 60-meter road will run parallel to the Yamuna Expressway and serve as a toll-free alternative for commuters. At present, travelers have to use the Yamuna Expressway to reach the airport, paying toll charges at two points. Once the new service road is functional, vehicles can reach the airport without paying any toll, offering a major benefit to people traveling from Delhi and Noida.

Service Lane Planned Since 2012

The service road was originally planned and partially built along with the Yamuna Expressway back in 2012. However, due to land acquisition hurdles, some stretches remained incomplete. Now, the authority has prioritized its completion to ensure seamless connectivity before the airport becomes operational.

Connecting Sectors and Projects

The road is not just about airport connectivity; it will also link major residential and institutional sectors under the Yamuna Authority. The largest residential sectors—Sector-18 and Sector-20—are located along this route. In addition, several major universities and institutions are situated nearby. This will directly benefit residents and students by providing better access and smooth travel.

Focus on Connectivity

The Yamuna Authority is working aggressively to strengthen road and transport infrastructure around the airport. The aim is to ensure that by the time international flight operations begin, travelers will already have access to world-class and hassle-free connectivity.
