EDUCATION: Uttarakhand Decided To Reopen Schools For Classes 1 to 5 From September 21

In Uttarakhand, the primary schools for Classes 1 to 5 will reopen from September 21. The schools in the state have remained closed for more than one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Uttarakhand department of school education on Saturday announced that classes will be held for only three hours a day and children will not be allowed to bring food to school.

According to the order, the option of online classes will also be available to students of these classes.The school administration will have to ensure proper sanitation of the entire premises, including classrooms, offices, libraries and toilets. 

Students and staff members will have to mandatorily wear masks and maintain physical distancing.

Moreover, the state education department said that a nodal officer will be appointed in each school to ensure compliance with Covid-19 protocol and guidelines.
