The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 2, conducted between April 2 and 9. With this development, students now await the official declaration of results, which will be made available on the JEE Main website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.
As per the agency, the result for JEE Main 2025 April session will be announced soon, alongside the category-wise cut-off for JEE Advanced eligibility, all-India ranks, and the list of state-wise toppers. The final result will be based on the best score of the two sessions — January and April — for candidates who appeared in both.
NTA Addresses Student Concerns Over Discrepancies
The release of the provisional answer key earlier this month drew criticism from candidates, with several reporting issues such as incorrect answers, wrongly recorded responses, and blank response sheets. These complaints gained traction across social media and educational forums, prompting responses from parents, coaching institutes, and experts.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), the NTA defended the integrity of its examination process. It assured candidates that the system remains transparent and fair, and urged them not to be misled by unverified reports that could lead to unnecessary stress.
Final Result to Consider Best of Two Attempts
JEE Main 2025 is being held in two sessions this year. Candidates who attempted both will have their best score considered for the final merit list, which will be used for admission to undergraduate engineering programs across the country and for shortlisting candidates for JEE Advanced.
The JEE Main result link will be activated soon. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website for the latest updates.
What’s Next for Candidates
Once the results are declared, qualified candidates can begin preparations for JEE Advanced 2025, the gateway to admission in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The cut-off released along with the result will determine eligibility for JEE Advanced registration. Students are advised to keep their documents and credentials ready for the next phase, as the window for JEE Advanced applications typically opens shortly after the JEE Main results are announced.
