MBBS National Exit Test to be Conducted Twice a Year, Easing Concerns Among Students

MBBS NEXT: The eagerly anticipated MBBS NEXT (National Exit Test) will be held twice a year for admission to PG programmes in medical institutes across the nation. The National Medical Commission (MMC) provided this information on Tuesday at a webinar intended for MBBS final-year students. The commission set up a webcast to address the students’ queries and dispel any lingering concerns about this exam, which was being administered for the first time.

2019 Batch to Participate in Initial MBBS NEXT

The Indian Medical Association’s student wing head, Dr. Dhruv Chauhan, stated that the 2019 batch of students will participate in NEXT initially. However, the Medical Commission has advised keeping the option of the NEET PG exam open for the earlier batch of MBBS students. The students were informed that the MBBS National Exit Examination would take place twice a year during this time. For students who finish the MBBS programme by December, the exam may be given in May, and for those who finish the programme by December, it may be given in November.

Nationwide Practice Exams and Mock Test Announced by Medical Commission

Prior to this exam, which will be held for the first time, the Commission is also administering practise examinations all around the nation. On July 28, there will be a mock exam for this exam. Students in their final year can register for this starting on June 28, which is Wednesday.
