Tips To Stay Calm And Avoid Panic

Feeling nervous before exam result date? Health experts suggest that students should engage themselves in deep box breathing, progressive muscle relaxation and visualization to stay calm. To get started, you may picture yourself happy and smiling with complete confidence on receiving good marks. Also, you can inhale and exhale with a waiting period of 4 seconds to normalize breathing and avoid panic situations.

It is also recommended that you should avoid caffeine after 5pm and reduce screen time at least 1 hour before hitting the bed. Ideally, you should sleep for at least 7-9 hours and engage yourself in yoga, home workouts or swimming. In addition to these tips, you must share your concerns or challenges with a parent, sibling, friend, teacher or a mental health professional. This would help you maintain emotional well-being and approach the result day with confidence, clarity and a stronger sense of calmness.
