Asha Bhosle Death: Granddaughter Zanai Bhosle has shared a deeply emotional note after the legendary singer’s passing. Her heartfelt words and memories have struck a chord with fans, offering a personal glimpse into their close bond.

Zanai took to Instagram on April 14 to express her grief following the death of Asha Bhosle, who passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai. Along with her message, she posted a video capturing a warm and playful moment between the two.

Asha Bhosle’s Granddaughter Shares Emotional Note

In the video, Asha Bhosle is seen singing “Dil Cheez Kya Hai” while Zanai sits beside her, both sharing laughter. The clip highlights their affectionate relationship and has left many fans emotional.

Zanai wrote, “As I wake up this morning, I realise I have lost my partner in crime, my bestfriend, a person who completed my entire world and the first person to hold me when I was born. What do I do now? Who am I supposed to wake up and give a hug to in the morning and have chai with? Who’s going to be waiting for me everyday when I come home or who am I supposed to crack lame jokes with..”

Zanai Bhosle Says Asha Bhosle Is Going To Come Back

Zanai also spoke about a promise that continues to give her hope. She urged fans to remember Asha Bhosle not with sadness, but as someone full of life and joy. She wrote, “She’s looking down on us all, especially her family and I believe she’s going to comeback to me very soon, because that is what she promised me and told me always!! I have lost the love of my life and there is no bigger grief in the world, so I urge you guys to live life to your fullest and celebrate her that way and celebrate her life!! Love you ashaai, and goodbye for now my love. I know you are always going to be with me no matter what, just waiting for you to come back to me and hug me once again,” she wrote.

How Asha Bhosle Died

Asha Bhosle passed away on April 12, 2026, at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to multi-organ failure. Her death marked the end of an extraordinary career spanning over eight decades.

She recorded more than 12,000 songs across languages and earned global recognition, including a Guinness World Record. Her last rites were held with full state honours at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Before the cremation, her mortal remains were kept at her Lower Parel residence Casa Grande for “Antim Darshan.” Several well-known personalities like Aamir Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Sachin Tendulkar, along with political leader Uddhav Thackeray, paid their last respects.
