Baby John Box Office Collection Day 4: The Varun Dhawan starrer action thriller film has spent four days at the theatres. Released on Christmas Day this Kalees directorial venture opened to first day numbers of ₹11.25 crore. Since then, the film has been a topic of discussion for its story, performances, expectations and overall quality. Fans have been praising the performances and action sequences of the film, but at the same time criticising the story for its lack of creativity. Moreover, the film has failed to meet its box office goals and is struggling to sell tickets as expected of it.

Baby John Box Office Collection Day 4: Varun Dhawan Starrer Crosses ₹20 crore Mark

Upon release, the Varun Dhawan starrer got a positive reception in theatres on its opening day. As mentioned, the film collected ₹11.25 crores on its opening day. Following that the film sold tickets worth ₹4.75 and ₹3.65 crores on its second and third day respectively. Coming to its first Saturday, the film attracted ticket sales worth ₹4.25 crores. This day four collections took the film's total collection to ₹23.9 crores(net) at the end of its first four days. Talking about Baby John’s worldwide collection, the Kalees directorial film grossed a total of ₹28.70 crores across India with another ₹8 crores coming from international markets. Taking the film’s worldwide collection to ₹36.7 crores.

Varun Dhawan Starrer Baby John Fails To Meet Expectations

The ticket sales of the Kalees directed action thriller mounted on a big budget are below what was expected of the film. This is in stark contrast to the film's expectations after seeing the hype it generated during its promotional run. The film was also in the talks to challenge the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 in the Hindi market, which makes the number even more dissapointing. Although its fourth day did see a bump in sales of roughly one crore, the Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh starrer is still off the mark.

Varun Dhawan’s Baby John vs Sudeep’s Max: Who Is Leading?

Baby John starring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jackie Shroff released in theatres on the same day as the Kannada film Max starring Sudeep. Despite its big marketing campaign that also included the likes of Salman Khan, the Sudeep starrer is proving to be a worthy competitor. At the end of Day 4, the Kannada film sits at a India Net collection of 22.25 crores (early estimates). Comparing this regional film to the pan India release, it seems like there is tough competition at the box office for Varun Dhawan.

With both films in theatres for their first Sunday, it will be interesting to see how they both perform head to head. Baby John box office collection day 4 did show a slight bump in comparison to its day three. However, the film still failed to reach its desired target. The next thing in focus is how it compares to Sudeep’s Max as the days pass by.
