Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut made strong remarks in Parliament during a debate on the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026. In her speech, Kangana Ranaut spoke on feminism, which quickly grabbed attention and sparked political discussion.

She praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called him the “only flag bearer of feminism.” Her comments came while she supported the government’s push for women’s reservation in Parliament and state assemblies.

The debate in the Lok Sabha focused on the proposed 33% reservation for women. Kangana Ranaut used the platform to highlight the government’s efforts on women’s empowerment and compare them with past administrations.

Kangana Ranaut praises PM Modi in Parliament

During her speech, Kangana Ranaut said, “The daughters of India today believe that there is no bigger feminist than the Prime Minister.” She added that the government has worked to uplift women in several areas.

In a video shared by ANI, she said, “Bharat ki beti yeh maanti hai ki Pradhan Mantri ji se bada koi bhi feminist nahi hai. He is the only flag bearer of feminism. Aur Bharat ki betiyan sada unki aabhari rahengi. Jo unhone Bharat ki mahila shakti aur matr shakti mein vishwas dikhaya hai, uske liye hum sada aabhari rahenge.”

Kangana Ranaut Attacks Congress Over Women’s Reservation Delay

Kangana Ranaut also targeted the Congress party during her speech. She questioned why women’s reservation was not implemented during its long rule in India.

She referred to comments made by Sonia Gandhi and said, “Sonia Gandhi says why are they (BJP) in a hurry to bring the bill. Should we be like you and let it hang for 30 years?”

She also pointed out that women’s representation in many states remains low. Citing Himachal Pradesh, she said there is only one woman among 68 MLAs. She added that most states show similar low representation of around 8–9%.

Kangana Ranaut Highlights Women’s Reservation Bill

The discussion in Parliament took place around the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026. The bill proposes 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.

Along with this, the government also introduced the Delimitation Bill and the Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill. These aim to extend reservation benefits to Delhi, Puducherry and Jammu and Kashmir.

Kangana Ranaut used her speech to emphasise that stronger reforms are needed to improve women’s participation in politics.

Her Film Career And Upcoming Projects

On the work front, Kangana was last seen in Emergency, where she played former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film did not perform strongly at the box office despite high expectations.

Looking ahead, she has several major projects in the pipeline. These include Queen 2, Tanu Weds Manu 3 with R Madhavan and Sita: The Incarnation.
