Breaking: Mumbai court rejects bail pleas of Raj Kundra

Raj Kundra, who was arrested in the pornography case, does not seem to be getting relief at the moment. A Mumbai court on Wednesday rejected the bail applications of Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe. Earlier on Tuesday also, the magistrate court had sent both the accused to judicial custody for 14 days.

On July 19, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police arrested Raj Kundra in a pornography related case. Police said that he seems to be the main conspirator in this whole case. Apart from him, 10 other people were also arrested.

Earlier, Raj Kundra’s police custody ended on July 23, which was extended till July 27 by the court.

In the pornography case, the Mumbai Police had registered a case on February 4 this year, after which the matter started gaining momentum. When the police raided a bungalow located in Malad West area, the shooting of a porn film was going on there. The police had then got important clues about Raj Kundra but before his arrest, the police wanted to collect solid evidence.

Police has filed the first chargesheet in this case, in which new disclosure has been made about Raj Kundra’s adult film business. It is being told that Raj Kundra had set a target for the company. He was aiming to earn Rs 34 crore through these films by 2023. Even before this, in a disclosure, the Crime Branch had told that Raj Kundra had also done a deal to sell many videos for about Rs 9 crore.
