Daisy Shah has spoken about an uncomfortable experience from her early career. The actor, known for working with Salman Khan in Jai Ho, revealed how a casting meeting left her uneasy.
In a recent interview, Daisy shared that the incident happened in Mumbai. A South filmmaker had come to the city to audition actors. However, what started as a professional meeting soon turned uncomfortable for her.
Daisy Shah recalls Inappropriate Gesture During Audition
Opening up about the moment, Daisy told FPJ, “I was touched badly by one of the filmmakers in South. He had come to Mumbai for a casting. We were 6-7 girls who went to meet him. He was meeting everyone of us individually. But I didn’t like because he touched me and he was holding my hand.”

She explained that the behaviour made her uncomfortable. Although she stayed polite during the meeting, she chose not to continue any further communication with him.
Daisy Shah On Personal Boundaries And Discomfort
The actor also spoke about her personal boundaries. She shared that she has always been uncomfortable with physical contact, which made the situation worse.
Daisy said, “I’ve always been apprehensive about people touching me. The reason why I don’t get massage done is because I don’t like being touched, even by a woman…by a man is a different story altogether. So that just put me off. I told him ‘I will get back to you’ but I never got back to him.”
Notably, Daisy did not reveal the name of the filmmaker involved in the incident.
Her Journey In Films And Current Work Front
Daisy Shah started her career as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya. She later appeared as a background dancer before moving into acting.
She made her debut as a lead in Kannada films and gained wider recognition in Bollywood with Jai Ho. Over the years, she has featured in projects like Hate Story 3 and several television shows.
Recently, Daisy was seen in the web series Red Room, which also starred Amit Gaur, Anuj Sachdeva, Reena Aggarwal, and Reeva Chaudhary.
Apart from acting, she stays active on YouTube, where she shares lifestyle content with her followers. Looking ahead, Daisy will be seen in an upcoming thriller directed by Palash Muchhal, alongside Shreyas Talpade.
