The early numbers for Dhurandhar 2 advance booking are creating a massive buzz in the film industry. Even before its official release, Dhurandhar The Revenge is already selling tickets at a rapid pace through its paid preview shows.

The spy action sequel, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, has crossed several major box office milestones with its premiere bookings. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film has already sold more than 2.8 lakh tickets for preview screenings across India.

These early sales have pushed the one-day preview gross to around Rs 15.64 crore. When block bookings are added, the figure rises to an impressive Rs 21.19 crore.

What makes these numbers even more interesting is that the film has already moved past the paid premiere collections of several blockbuster titles. The sequel has overtaken preview numbers recorded by Stree 2, Chennai Express, Padmaavat and 3 Idiots. It has also surged ahead of the early preview buzz seen around Pushpa 2.

Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking Creates Huge Early Buzz

The Hindi market is driving most of the ticket sales. Reports suggest that more than 2.6 lakh tickets have already been sold for the Hindi 2D version alone. This format has generated around Rs 15.28 crore in gross revenue.

Interestingly, the film broke the paid preview record set by Stree 2 within just a few hours after bookings opened on Saturday. The horror-comedy had earlier collected around Rs 8.75 crore nett and a little over Rs 10 crore gross from its premiere shows.

However, Dhurandhar The Revenge has already moved far ahead of that mark.

Advance booking for the preview shows opened on Saturday morning along with the release of the film’s trailer. The response was immediate. Within the first 24 hours, the film had sold over one lakh tickets. The number crossed two lakh tickets within the first two days.

The pace slowed slightly on Monday. Around 72000 additional tickets were sold that day, bringing another Rs 3.3 crore through advance sales. Even with the slowdown, the total ticket count has now reached 2.8 lakh across India.

Industry experts say the film is now getting close to another major record. It is approaching the biggest paid premiere record in Indian cinema currently held by the Telugu film They Call Him OG, starring Pawan Kalyan. That film reportedly earned about Rs 25 crore from paid previews.

If the current trend continues, trade analysts believe Dhurandhar The Revenge could cross Rs 35 crore in preview earnings before its official release.

Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking Points To Massive Opening Weekend

The film will release worldwide on March 19, and the timing may work in its favour. The release coincides with major festivals including Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, which often bring larger crowds to theatres.

Because of the strong advance booking numbers, trade experts are already predicting a huge opening weekend. Some estimates suggest the film could collect Rs 200-250 crore in its first extended weekend, excluding preview earnings.

Ticket prices for the preview shows also show strong demand. Reports say the highest ticket price is Rs 2,900 at INOX Megaplex in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the lowest ticket price is Rs 59 at AGS Cinemas in Chennai.

In the Delhi-NCR region, preview ticket prices start from around Rs 450 and go up to nearly Rs 2,000.

With more than a week still left before the release, industry insiders believe ticket sales could grow further as more shows and screens are added.

Cast And Story Of Dhurandhar The Revenge

Dhurandhar The Revenge is directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The sequel continues the story from the action thriller released in December 2025.

Along with Ranveer Singh, the film features a strong supporting cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.

The story picks up after the events of the first film. The trailer shows that Pakistan’s Lyari town is facing chaos after the death of its powerful leader Rehman Dakait.

Ranveer Singh plays Hamza Ali Mazari, an Indian spy trying to infiltrate Pakistan’s political and criminal networks. In the new film, he rises to power and becomes the new leader of Lyari.

However, controlling the region will not be easy. Hamza must deal with gang wars, powerful terror groups and dangerous political games. Dhurandhar The Revenge will release worldwide in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on March 19.
