Shahid Afridi remarked that the Mohali crowd was too much for the Pakistani team. Afridi said the Mohali crowd’s presence significantly boosted Team India’s prospects while bringing down Team Pakistan’s hopes of a win. The former Pakistani captain added that legs of his team’s players were literally shaking under immense pressure and that caused the team’s loss in the crunch semi-final match.

Indian Openers Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar scored 38 and 85 runs, respectively. Gautam Gambhir, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina contributed with the bat to take the team score to 260 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
In reply, Pakistan’s batting crumbled like a pack of cards. Only Mohammad Hafeez, Misbah-ul-Haq and Umar Akmal made noteworthy contributions.
