The world of Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge is still growing beyond theatres. Director Aditya Dhar has now shared a heartfelt message for his team. This time, he has praised the film’s costume department after the huge success of both Dhurandhar films.

The filmmaker highlighted the work of costume designer Smriti Chauhan. He also shared rare behind-the-scenes photos from the sets. Fans got a closer look at how much effort went into building the film’s visual world.

Aditya Dhar Praises Dhurandhar 2 Costume Designer

Aditya Dhar opened up about his early discussions with Smriti Chauhan. He said even small creative ideas slowly turned into major parts of the film’s storytelling.

He wrote: “While you kept saying, ‘Adi Sir, I don’t know if I’m the right person for this,’ I was sitting there thinking, ‘This is exactly why you are.’ You didn’t come with baggage. You didn’t come with a fixed ‘style’ of what this world should look like. You came with honesty and that dangerous thing called ZIDD.”

He explained how a simple idea about colour change in characters became an important visual tool in the film. The journey of Jaskirat turning into Hamza was shown through fading colours, ending in darker shades as the story moves forward. What started as a small idea later became a key emotional layer of the film.

Behind-The-Scenes Effort And Costume Scale

The scale of work in Dhurandhar 2 has surprised many fans. Aditya Dhar revealed that Smriti Chauhan and her team created nearly 10000 costumes for the film. He also shared that around 1000 Pathani outfits were stitched in just the first 30 days of production.

He praised her attention to detail. Even small things like a junior artist’s cuff button were handled with care. At the same time, she worked on major character styling decisions that shaped the entire film.

Dhar also shared that Ranveer Singh’s character alone had over 250 different looks. Each look showed a different stage of his transformation. From simple training clothes to strong Pathani outfits in the underworld phase, every costume helped tell the story clearly.

The Pathani suits were specially designed for action scenes. The fabric was made lighter so actors could move easily, while still keeping the strong visual style. Other key characters like Rahman Dakait played by Akshaye Khanna and Yalina played by Sara Arjun also had costumes that matched their emotional journeys.

Aditya Dhar called Smriti Chauhan more than just a costume designer. He said she helped build the entire visual identity of the film. According to him, she worked with calmness even during pressure-filled schedules and always gave her best.

He wrote that her work went beyond costumes. It became a language of storytelling that shaped emotions on screen. He also added that her designs are now influencing style discussions outside the film.

In the end, Dhar thanked her for her dedication and called it a true example of “ZIDD.”

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge continues to play in theatres.
