Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking Off To Strong Start
Even before its release, Dhurandhar 2 is seeing strong interest from audiences. Advance booking opened on several ticketing platforms and the response has been impressive.
On BookMyShow alone, the film sold 87.81K tickets within the first 24 hours. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also revealed that paid preview shows were selling at around 7.5K tickets per hour.
According to trade website Sacnilk, the film sold tickets worth Rs 4 crore worldwide within just two hours of bookings opening. Out of this, around Rs 2.50 crore came from major multiplex chains like PVR Cinemas, INOX Leisure and Cinepolis, with about 35,000 tickets sold there.
A new premium pricing category called Super Blockbuster Plus has also been introduced. In some multiplexes in Delhi-NCR, preview tickets are priced as high as Rs 2500.
So far, the paid premiere has already earned around Rs 8.06 crore in advance sales. More than Rs 7 crore of this amount comes from the Hindi version. The Telugu version has collected over Rs 5 lakh, while Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions have earned smaller amounts.
Interestingly, Tamil Nadu currently has the highest occupancy at 22 percent. With more than a week left for the premiere, trade experts believe the numbers will continue to grow.
The film also features Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Pandor in key roles.
Dhurandhar 2 will release in theatres on March 19, with paid preview shows starting on March 18. With no major box office clash now, the film is expected to attract strong audience attention when it hits the big screen.
