Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 42: Even after six weeks in theatres, Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster spy thriller Dhurandhar continues to dominate the box office. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film released on December 5, 2025, and stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal.

At the start of its sixth week, Dhurandhar faced a slight dip on weekdays, earning Rs 2.35 crore on Monday and Rs 2.6 crore on Tuesday. However, the festive midweek revived its momentum. Wednesday recorded an overall occupancy of 16.49% across theatres in India. Morning shows had 7.63% occupancy, afternoon 17.81%, evening 18.45% and night shows peaked at 22.07%.

Region-wise, Delhi NCR hosted 719 shows with 9.50% occupancy, while Mumbai performed stronger with 349 shows and 17.25% occupancy. This strong regional turnout helped Dhurandhar maintain its box office dominance, despite competition from recent releases like Prabhas’ The Raja Saab and Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.

According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar box office collection saw a significant boost on day 41 due to the Makar Sankranti holiday, earning Rs 3.4 crore and pushing its global box office past Rs 1300 crore. On day 42 (Thursday), the film collected Rs 3 crore, taking its domestic total to Rs 816.60 crore.

The film’s performance keeps it ahead of major contemporaries. On day 41, Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rise earned Rs 1.55 crore, while Chhaava made Rs 1.3 crore. In comparison, Dhurandhar’s collections at the same stage are nearly double.

Dhurandhar has already surpassed lifetime collections of blockbuster hits like KGF 2 (Rs 1215 crore) and RRR (Rs 1230 crore), becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in India and the fourth highest worldwide. However, it still trails Pushpa 2 – The Rule (Rs 1,742.10 crore) and Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (Rs 1,788.06 crore) globally.

How Long Will Ranveer Starrer Run In Theatres?

Now, attention turns to whether upcoming releases, including Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s Border 2 (releasing on January 23, 2026) can challenge Dhurandhar’s strong run. The film is expected to continue its theatrical run through late January before moving to Netflix on January 30, 2026. The streaming release is timed ahead of the sequel, Dhurandhar 2, slated for March 19, 2026.

The film follows Jaskirat Singh Rangi (Ranveer Singh), a death-row inmate recruited by Indian intelligence to infiltrate Pakistan’s criminal underworld under the codename “Hamza.” Inspired by real events like the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the story charts Hamza’s covert mission in Karachi’s Lyari district. He aims to dismantle a terror syndicate, take down key figures like gangster Rehman Dakait, and confront the ultimate mastermind “Bade Sahab.”
