Bigg Boss OTT 2 fame and popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav has once again landed in a serious security scare. The YouTuber has allegedly received a death threat message claiming to be from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The message reportedly demanded Rs 10 crore as extortion money and warned that if the amount was not paid within two days, he would be shot.
This fresh threat has sparked concern as it comes after a series of earlier security incidents involving Elvish. Over the past year, he has faced multiple threatening calls and messages. In one of the most alarming past incidents, unknown attackers had opened fire outside his Gurugram residence.
Fresh Extortion Threat To Elvish Yadav, Police Investigating
According to the complaint filed by Elvish Yadav, the latest threat originated from a WhatsApp call made using a foreign number on May 5. Although he missed the call, he soon received a message demanding Rs 10 crore within two days. The sender allegedly threatened serious consequences if the demand was ignored.
Shockingly, the same message was also sent to his father, intensifying panic within the family. The accused is suspected to have links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Following the complaint, Elvish approached Sector-56 police station, where an FIR has been registered against an unknown person.

Police officials have confirmed that the matter is under active investigation. Cyber teams are tracking the foreign number and analysing digital evidence linked to the threat message. Authorities are also considering strengthening security around the YouTuber due to repeated intimidation attempts.
Given the seriousness of the extortion demand and past firing incident at his residence, the police are treating the case as high priority.
A Pattern Of Controversies Around Elvish
Elvish Yadav has often remained in the spotlight not just for his content but also for controversies. In 2023, he was booked in a case linked to a rave party where allegations of snake venom use were made. The case led to his arrest and later legal proceedings.
The matter even reached higher courts, where concerns were raised over its wider social impact. The case is still being examined under wildlife protection laws.
Despite controversies, Elvish continues to stay active in the entertainment space. He currently appears in Laughter Chefs Season 3 and was recently seen in the web series Aukaat Se Bahar on Amazon MX Player.
He also hosts his podcast PHODCAST With Elvish Season 2, featuring celebrities and reality TV personalities. Reports suggest he has also been approached for The Traitors Season 2.
